ADSI Taps Davao City for Business and R.U.S.H. App System Integration

ICT Davao President Bert Barriga, along with some representatives from the City Agricultural Office and Department of Trade and Industry in Davao, proudly discussed the city’s respectable governance and high public safety procedures to the ADSI team. Its opulent agriculture made them as one of the most sought-after business spots in the country. With this, both teams are now looking forward to pursuing ICT and IT-enabled Agricultural business projects that will be beneficial to both ends.
Apart from the agriculture and IT discussion, Mr. Atienza introduced to the Davao City representatives the R.U.S.H. (Responding to Urgency and Swift to Help) app. Davao is identified as the only city that uses the 911 system apart from the United States and Canada. ADSI’s First Summer Workshop: A Fruitful Success!
As we persist with our intention to mix business with good-natured pleasure, ADSI conducted two days of summer workshop on April 13 and 20, 2013 to chosen high school students from Brgy. Bagumbayan. Held at ADSI’s Incubator in Eastwood City, Libis, the mini seminar centred on teaching lucky participants about basic computer programming, arts, proper internet use, and career management.
Moderating the first day of workshop was Android Developer Rafael Dimaano while iOS Developer Ryan Enguero and Web Developer Mike Baccay helped facilitate the lecture. The mentioned ADSI talents illustrated key programming discussions and tutorials to students who were eventually given basic pattern codes for their test. Presiding the arty second-half of the workshop was Senior Graphic Artist Robby Bonus who taught kids fundamental drawing techniques while giving them good words on artistic workmanship all together. IOS Developer Nestor Ahorro was also present as he shared his natural bent to figure drawing.
Day 2 welcomed the presence of ADSI bigwig Oliver Ian Atienza as he administered the lecture on Proper Internet Use and Safety. ADSI’s Managing Director gave an educational lecture on how kids can treat the minor risks that the Internet delivers. Ms. Noemi Acub (Human Resources) supervised the last leg of the workshop as she shared encouraging words that can be beneficial to the students’ future and career.
All participants were rewarded with certificates after the accomplished workshops. With the helpful background and learning that the students collected in this two-day workshop, guiding them to their forthcoming profession will pass off easily.
Giving valuable lessons to the young ones while we thrive towards more functional and innovative services will always stay the course for ADSI talents. This workshop marked another valuable experience for all the ADSI talents to hold dear.
